Just the News: SLF discusses latest work on John Solomon Reports podcast

(March 19, 2025): Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF) Executive Director Kimberly Hermann joins the John Solomon Reports podcast to provide the latest updates on SLF’s legal work to defend the Constitution.

SLF and Just the News have been hard at work uncovering then-Vice President Biden’s use of private, alias email addresses to conduct official business. In the latest slew of documents produced to SLF as part of its FOIA lawsuit against the National Archives and Records Administration, records revealed that VP Biden received Obama briefing memos, discussed foreign affairs, and was briefed on Situation Room meetings on those private, unsecured accounts.

“When we first submitted this FOIA request to NARA back in 2022, we were told…nothing in here was going to be of any interest,” states Hermann. But the records revealed otherwise, showing that the emails were not personal or private in nature but included discussions of public matters. “A majority of the information is redacted so this fight is long from over. But we can at least tell based on who he is sending these to that there’s no way that they’re talking about what they’re doing that weekend or what they’re having for dinner.”

SLF also explained how it is working to undo several Biden-era programs that are unconstitutional, including discriminatory USDA loan forgiveness and disaster relief programs that gave less money to white male farmers than farmers of other races and sex. Hermann states, “People don’t realize that the USDA was one of the worst offenders of our Constitution under the Biden Administration.” As a result of this overreach, SLF filed several lawsuits against USDA, prompting courts to step in and stop the unconstitutional racial discrimination from continuing.

The podcast also covers some of the latest Supreme Court briefs SLF has filed, including amicus briefs supporting parents protecting their children from radical ideology and pro-life clinics being targeted for their views.
