Southeastern Legal Foundation and Mountain States Legal Foundation represent Moms for Liberty and Young America’s Foundation, and they are joined by several states as plaintiffs. In the lawsuit, Moms for Liberty and Young America’s Foundation assert that the new agency rule violates the First Amendment because it will force students to affirm incorrect pronouns and accept the Biden Administration’s views on gender ideology. The rule goes into effect on August 1, 2024.
