Ben Isgur serves as a litigation attorney for Southeastern Legal Foundation having joined the team in 2023.
Ben joined Southeastern Legal Foundation to prevent government encroachment into individual liberties, whether it comes in the form of unaccountable bureaucracies choking off the freedom to engage in a profession or ideologically-captured universities suppressing dissenting speech.
After earning undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Government from George Mason University, Ben spent time as an entrepreneur in e-commerce and technology journalism. Afterward, he returned to Mason and graduated from the Antonin Scalia Law School in 2022. He then clerked for Judge Stephen Alexander Vaden of the United States Court of International Trade in New York, NY, and Chief Judge Lavenski R. Smith of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in Little Rock, AR.
After his clerkships, he (and his cat) moved back home to the DC metro area to begin his work with Southeastern Legal Foundation. Ben is an active member of the Federalist Society. In his free time, he is a competitive board gamer.
