Who We Are
Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF) is a national, nonprofit legal organization dedicated to Rebuilding the American Republic ® by reclaiming civil liberties, protecting free speech, securing property rights, and restoring constitutional balance. Since 1976, we set lasting precedent both in and out of the courtroom to preserve and protect Americans’ rights under our Constitution through both legal action against the government and vital constitutional programs to educate and equip Americans.
SLF’s Guiding Principle
SLF believes that the U.S. Constitution is a complete document, creating limits on government. We restore the Founding Fathers’ original design for America, where government respects limits on its power, citizens are empowered, and liberty is preserved through the rule of law.
SLF’s Strategic Approach
SLF represents clients free of charge in cases where our involvement will make a
lasting difference for all Americans. Our cases vindicate our clients’ constitutional rights
and set precedent to preserve all Americans’ rights under our Constitution. SLF’s
strategic approach to choosing and executing our cases and issues has resulted in
hundreds of courtroom and policy wins that span over five decades.
