Alexandra (Allie) Johnson joined the Southeastern Legal Foundation team in 2026 and serves as a litigation attorney.
Allie was inspired to fight for liberty and the rule of law by the works of F.A. Hayek and his brilliant opposition to government control of everyday life. Specifically, Hayek’s work “The Use of Knowledge in Society” clearly explains that government experts do not, and cannot, have all the answers—the real expertise is held by individuals. Allie joined Southeastern Legal Foundation to protect individuals’ rights to advocate for and act on their own knowledge and beliefs; guarantees our Founding Fathers wisely included in the Constitution.
In 2021, Allie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School. While at Notre Dame, Allie worked with the Institute for Justice and the Notre Dame Religious Liberty clinic. She was also President of the Federalist Society and Executive Online Editor of the Notre Dame Law Review.
After graduation, Allie served as a law clerk on the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals for Judge Diane S. Sykes and on the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals for Judge David R. Stras. Prior to joining SLF, Allie worked as Trial and Appellate Counsel with a Minnesota-based public interest law firm for nearly 3-years.
Allie resides in the Twin Cities area with her husband and cat. In her free time, she enjoys baking, hiking, and harassing said cat.
