Reclaiming Civil Liberties

Civil liberties are legal protections designed to ensure that all Americans enjoy equal protection under the law and equal opportunities—regardless of their race, sex, or other immutable characteristic. Sadly, those seeking to destroy America have hijacked and weaponized our civil liberties, using them to advance unconstitutional diversity, equity, and inclusion programs that promote race- based preferences and radical gender ideology.

Since 1976, Southeastern Legal Foundation has been instrumental in helping reform and strengthen the constitutional commitment to equal protection under the law, including key victories at the U.S. Supreme Court that reaffirm this guarantee of equal protection. SLF is proud to be on the front lines, leading the constitutional battle in the courtroom to reclaim civil liberties for all Americans.

SLF Stops Race-Based Government Programs

In America, our government cannot treat people differently because of their skin color—the Constitution and civil rights laws prohibit such blatant race-based discrimination. When the government ignores our Constitution and civil rights laws and insists on grouping and excluding Americans based on their race, SLF steps in filing strategic lawsuits to stop race-based government programs and to ensure that all Americans enjoy equal protection under the law.

SLF Is Ending Radical Gender Ideology

SLF is at the forefront of the battle to save Title IX and stop radical gender ideology from destroying the innocence of America’s children, infringing on free speech, and violating parental rights. Across America, women are being stripped of the protections and equality they’ve had for over 50 years. Americans are being silenced for believing in biological reality, and girls are being punished for speaking up for their physical safety and privacy when forced to share a bathroom or locker room with a boy. SLF is dedicated to bringing common sense and biological reality back to America.

SLF is Saving America’s Schools

The most important battleground in the fight to save and rebuild our American Republic is the public schools. If we don’t rid our nation’s classrooms of unconstitutional and illegal woke education, our nation will be gone forever. That is why, whether faced with racial segregation, DEI trainings, or free speech issues, SLF stands vigilant to protect the next generation of citizens against illegal, arbitrary, and unconstitutional power grabs by the government.
