(April 11, 2024): Southeastern Legal Foundation (SLF) Executive Director Kimberly Hermann joins Just the News, No Noise to discuss SLF’s latest lawsuit challenging the Biden Administration’s discriminatory relief programs. Congress has allocated over $25 billion in relief funds to aid farmers suffering from the effects of the pandemic and natural disasters. But the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), without any approval from Congress, decided to give more relief money to farmers who are of a certain race or sex, and less money to farmers who are white or male.
SLF and Mountain States Legal Foundation (MSLF) are representing Texas farmers who are taking a stand against this unlawful and unconstitutional program. The farmers are asking a federal court in Texas for injunctive relief to temporarily halt the program.
