(Aug. 6, 2026): SLF released the following statement after the Department of Education called on university presidents to reaffirm colleges as places of excellence:

“Now is the time for America’s universities to finally pull away from woke indoctrination and focus on education. SLF has taken on multiple cases involving universities imposing political views and/or restricting views of students. These cases are just some examples indicating the trust that our schools have lost with the public.

The American people deserve universities that they can trust where students are allowed to participate in a free marketplace of ideas. The Department of Education is calling on Universities to work to restore that public trust. While there is a lot of work to do, SLF agrees that now is the time for our Universities to reaffirm their status and work to educate, not indoctrinate.”
